White with floral square & grey, pink, white diagonal stripe = true vintage napkins from my Nonna. 50% polyester 50% cotton. These felt like they were never used! Washed before assembling.
Cascading turquoise floral = dead-stock duvet cover, likely 100% cotton, or a polyester cotton mix.
Jewel toned graphic and floral = dead-stock duvet cover, likely 100% cotton, or a polyester cotton mix.
Straps = Waist tie from a vintage floral dress. 100% cotton.
I am not a seamstress, but I love to sew, and this work has reached a point where putting them out there feels alright. I'm excited to see how they continue to evolve–thanks my dear friends for saying nice things when receiving samples over the years.
These tote bags are each 'perfectly imperfect', one of a kind specimens. This design is about letting the pattern and form of the napkins shine because they are just so pretty.
